You can freeze this after cooking. The potatoes might not be quite the same texture but it should still taste delicious!

Yes, you can use ground turkey or ground chicken.
What should I serve this with?
This is a great dish on it’s own but its fabulous with a little side salad and it is really delicious with some of these Homemade Hawaiian Rolls for dunking.
What else can I add?
This is a great soup you can add any veggies you like to, broccoli would be great, cauliflower works fabulous, corn is amazing in this. You can even switch up the cheese and add pepperjack for a kick.
Ingredients used
- Lean Ground Beef – Use whichever ground beef is your favorite.
- Onion – I like to use frozen chopped onion but you can use fresh.
- Carrots – You can grate them or dice them, whichever your family prefers.
- Russet Potatoes – You can use these or save time and use red potatoes or little yellow ones that don’t need to be peeled.
- Cooked Bacon – Fresh cooked and crumbled bacon or even microwave bacon works great in this recipe.
- Steak Seasoning – I prefer Montreal Seasoning but use your favorite.
- Onion Powder – Just a little onion powder adds great flavor to this dish.
- Garlic – Use as much or as little as you like.
- Chicken Broth – Low sodium is what I like to use.
- Velveeta – This is what gives the soup its nice cheesy flavor.
- Milk – Use whatever your family likes to drink.
- Shredded Cheddar – You can use any shredded cheese you like.
- Scallions – These add such a great pop of color and flavor.
How to make Slow Cooker Bacon Cheeseburger Soup

- Place your browned and drain ground beef in the slow cooker.
- Add your chopped potatoes, carrots, bacon, onion, garlic, seasonings, chicken broth, in the slow cooker.
- Stir everything to combine.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours or until potatoes are tender.
- 30 minutes before serving add in the cubed velveta and milk.
- Stir to combine.
- Once cheese is all melted garnish with more bacon, cheese and scallions.
- Serve!

Ingredients
- 1 pounds lean ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 4 russet potatoes, peel and chopped
- 12 sliced cooked bacon, divided
- 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 16 ounces velveeta, cubed
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar for topping
- Scallions for garnish
Instructions
- Place your browned and drain ground beef in the slow cooker.
- Add your chopped potatoes, carrots, bacon, onion, garlic, seasonings, chicken broth, in the slow cooker.
- Stir everything to combine.
