These Italian Sub Sliders are a flavorful, favorite dinner. 

These Italian Sub Sliders are always a hit.  Perfect for parties or a quick lunch or dinner these little sliders combine ham, salami, pepperoni and provolone that get baked until melty and then topped with a flavorful chopped mix of lettuce, onion, banana pepper and roasted red peppers with mayo and italian dressing.  These are so easy and delicious! Always a crowd pleaser.

There is nothing I love more an easy dinner that comes together in minutes and that everyone will eat.  With picky eaters I need all the easy dinners I can find.

These grinder sliders are one of my easy go to dinners that I can just whip together quickly and I know everyone will enjoy.  Just a few ingredients and a couple minutes and I have a delicious dinner or lunch for everyone. These are also great for parties and get-togethers.  They make a great appetizer, lunch or dinner. 

These hoagie sliders are perfect all year round.  You just layer provolone cheese, ham, salami and pepperoni on soft slider buns.  The tops of the buns get brushed with butter and italian seasoning and they whole things gets baked until the cheesy is melty.  Meanwhile you make a delicious combination of lettuce, onion, banana peppers and roasted red peppers, mayo and italian dressing.  This fabulous concoction gets piled in the sliders to make one amazing slider. 

These are so easy to customize to your family’s taste.  You can switch up the deli meats, switch up the cheese, add bacon or jalapenos.  You can truly make these your own. 

Can we also take a minute to talk about how budget-friendly this dinner is?  Everyone is feeling the pinch with the grocery bill right now and you can’t get much cheaper than some deli meat, cheese and a few other ingredients.  So this is a great dinner when you are trying to save a few pennies.

Of course!! Use your favorite mix of deli meats, you can even add bacon to the mix if you like.  Make these your own!

What should I serve this with?

I love these with a salad, fries or some mac and cheese but it is also great served with these Slow Cooker Cowboy Beans.

Can I make this spicy?

You can add red pepper flakes, jalapenos, or pepperjack cheese to give this a kick.

Ingredients used

  • Hawaiian Rolls –  You can use any slider buns, but I like to use Hawaiian rolls. 
  • Deli Ham – Use your favorite kind. 
  • Deli Salami – Whichever kind is your favorite. 
  • Deli Pepperoni – I like to use the kind from the deli as the slices are larger. 
  • Provolone – You can also use mozzarella, swiss, or even cheddar. 
  • Butter – This is for the topping you can use salted or unsalted.
  • Italian Seasoning – This gives the slider buns flavor. 
  • Lettuce – Iceberg stays crisper in the mix. 
  • Red Onion – I like to use red because it is milder.
  • Banana Peppers – These add such a punch of flavor. 
  • Roasted Red Peppers – These add great color and flavor to the mix. 
  • Mayo – Any kind you like. 
  • Italian Dressing – You want to use your favorite brand or even a submarine dressing.

How to make Italian Sub Sliders

  1. FULL RECIPE BELOW
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Slice the rolls in half and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Place 6 slices of provolone on the bottom half of the rolls.
  5. Next layer the ham, salami and pepperoni.
  6. Top with the remaining provolone.
  7. Melt the butter in a small microwave safe bowl.
  8. Stir the italian seasoning into the butter.
  9. Brush the top of the rolls with the butter.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes until the rolls are golden and the cheese is melted.
  11. Meanwhile in a large bowl combine the lettuce, onion, banana peppers, roasted red peppers, mayo and italian dressing.
  12. Using scissors chop the lettuce mix in the bowl until it is chopped into small pieces. 
  13. Place the lettuce mixture onto the bottom half of the rolls.
  14. Top with the top rolls.
  15. Slice and serve!

  • 12 count hawaiian rolls
  • ¼ pound deli ham
  • ¼ pound deli salami
  • ¼ pound deli pepperoni

  • ¼ cup banana peppers

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Add jalapenos to spice this up.
