Grinch Cinnamon Rolls
Christmas morning wouldn’t be the same without cinnamon rolls and these Grinch Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect festive treat for a holiday morning! These start off with canned cinnamon rolls and are taken over the top with a new way of baking them in heavy cream which makes them truly decadent. A homemade cream cheese icing dyed green tops these delicious rolls with a few heart sprinkles to give it that Grinch look.
There is nothing I love more an easy Christmas breakfast or and these cinnamon rolls are just that!
Everyone knows the best part of a cinnamon roll is the middle. That is the part that is the softest, the gooiest, it is truly the best part. So of course if you could make a cinnamon roll that tasted just like the middle that would be amazing! And I saw on Tik Tok just how to do that.
These do start with a canned cinnamon roll, hey don’t judge, no one wants to be making cinnamon rolls from scratch on Christmas morning! But the key is baking them in heavy cream. They come out ooey, gooey and then get topped with a homemade cream cheese icing colored the perfect Grinch green.
These come together so quickly that they make a perfect quick sweet treat for Christmas breakfast or brunch. Plus they look so cute and festive!
The green icing and red heart sprinkles are reminiscent of the Grinch which is everyone’s favorite Christmas movie, I know it is my kids!
So this holiday season make these easy, delicious, adorable Grinch Cinnamon Rolls.
You will want to make these cinnamon rolls again and again! We do! You will love this recipe because it is
- Easy and fast.
- Family friendly.
- Budget friendly.
- Full of flavor.
- Perfect breakfast treat.
- Great for the holidays.
Can I use any cinnamon rolls?
Yes, you technically can. They should be the canned kind and this recipe works really well with the grand style cinnamon roll.
What else can I top these with?
While I love whipping up a homemade cream cheese frosting for these you can also save even more time and just use a little green food coloring in the icing that comes with the rolls.
Can I make these ahead of time?
Of course! You can bake these night before and just cover them really well for the next morning. I will say they are best fresh out of the oven but I know Christmas morning can be a little hectic.
Ingredients used
- Cinnamon rolls – The canned grands style work best here but you can use any canned cinnamon roll.
