I love that these are made with ingredients I usually have on hand, just some ground beef, tortillas, and some toppings and you have a delicious copycat recipe that your whole family will love.

Taco Bell is a weakness of mine and these copycats are so delicious and easy I like them even better than the other ones.

Ground beef is seasoned with taco seasoning and layered on a tortilla with a crunchy tostada shell with nacho cheese, then all your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream.

I love that you can customize this to your family’s taste, you can use chicken, or skip the meat all together and use refried beans or black beans.  You can put your favorite taco toppings in there like guacamole, salsa, green onions or black olives.

Can we also take a minute to talk about how budget-friendly this dinner is?  Everyone is feeling the pinch with the grocery bill and takeout is just getting more and more expensive right now and you can’t get much cheaper than ground beef.  So this is a fabulous dinner when you are trying to save a few pennies at the grocery store and at the drive-thru.

Ingredients used

  • Lean Ground Beef –  You can use ground beef, ground turkey, steak, chicken or beans.
  • Taco Seasoning –  I like to use the Taco Bell seasoning for an authentic taste.
  • Burrito Sized Flour Tortillas –  You will need this large size to make sure everything fits.
  • Street Taco Sized Tortillas – These little ones are what helps keep everything inside the crunchwrap.
  • Tostado Shells –  These are the crunchy ones are you need one for the middle of each one.
  • Nacho Cheese Sauce –  Rico’s nacho cheese is the closest I have found to Taco Bells.
