Slow Cooker Cranberry BBQ Little Smokies
Cranberry BBQ Little Smokies are my new favorite holiday recipe!
Slow Cooker Cranberry BBQ Little Smokies are the perfect holiday appetizer! Just 4 ingredients in the slow cooker to make this festive delicious dish!
We do the holidays big in my family! Lots of family gatherings, lots of parties and all that means lots of food!
I am in charge of Christmas Eve dinner and I love to serve a great assortment of appetizers for everyone to snack on while waiting for dinner. I think they look more forward to the appetizers sometimes lol!
I love appetizers that I can just throw in the crockpot and let cook away while I’m focusing on cooking the main meal, and making sure I have time to change out of my stained yoga pants and into my dress before everyone arrives!
That is why I love these Slow Cooker Cranberry BBQ Little Smokies so much! Just four ingredients get tossed in the slow cooker and it is one less thing I have to worry about
Cranberry sauce pairs so well with BBQ sauce to create an amazing festive sauce that is perfect for the holidays (plus it’s a great way to use up any leftover cans of cranberry sauce)
I also add in a touch of brown sugar to give the bbq sauce and tangy cranberry sauce a sweet kick.
You can serve these right in the crockpot or if you wanna be fancy (it is the holidays after all) you can place them in a bowl on a platter and scatter some cranberries and parsley around to really get into the holiday spirit.
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it is a real crowd-pleaser. Adults, kids, picky eaters, everyone will be going back to the table to grab a few more, so make sure you make plenty!
There is always a small crowd gathered around these Slow Cooker Cranberry BBQ Little Smokies so I know they are a big hit!
I cannot wait for Christmas Eve, I have been planning and planning my menu and every little detail forever and I know that these smokies will be one of the star dishes that night. I already know I will have zero leftover lol!
Thankfully it is so easy to double (or even triple!) this recipe to make sure everyone gets as much as they want!
Can I use whole berry cranberry sauce?
Sure!! You can use the whole berry sauce or even your own homemade sauce!
Can I spice this up?
You sure can! Just grab a spicy BBQ sauce or even just throw a little red pepper flake or sriracha in there!
Can I make these Slow Cooker Cranberry BBQ Little Smokies on the stove?
Yes! Super easy, just pop everything in a large skillet until the sausages are cooked through and the sauce thickens a bit.
