Slow Cooker Korean Meatballs are going to blow your mind and tastebuds away.  Plus they are picky eater approved!

Hey guys!!  I have another super great slow cooker recipe for you today!!  I love my slow cooker, I love being able to put in a few ingredients in the morning and let them cook together into something amazing for dinner.

I never remember to take out my meat the night before to throw into the slow cooker so when I have a recipe that starts with frozen ingredients I am thrilled.

The sauce is simple, savory and a bit sweet and goes perfectly over rice for a quick week night meal that’s better than take out!

I make these meatballs all the time for dinner but they are extremely popular at parties.  They are perfect for parties, just plug in your slow cooker so they stay warm and set out some tooth pick, people go nuts for them!!  They are a bit different than your normal party meatballs and I think that is what makes people love them so much!  They are always a hit!

Slow Cooker Korean Meatballs Directions:

In the bottom of your slow cooker mix the soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, soda, garlic, and scallions together.
Place the meatballs in your slow cooker and toss with sauce.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours
Right before serving mix your cornstarch with about a tablespoon of water, just enough to make a slurry
Then add the slurry to the meatballs to thicken the sauce a bit
Serve over rice, yum!

Can I use homemade meatballs?

Sure!!  If you have a meatball recipe that you know works in the crock pot go for it! I would def brown them first.  You can also use turkey meatballs, whatever floats your boat.

Can I add veggies?

Broccoli or snap peas would be delicious in this!! Just add them in towards the end of cooking so they don’t get too mushy, unless you like that, I won’t tell you how to live your life lol.

How can I spice this up?

You can add some sriracha, red pepper flake or cayenne, super easy to add a little pop of heat to this dish!

  1. So good!! The flavor was spot on! And my VERY picky husband loved them. My sauce ended up very thin, definitely not a slurry even after I doubled the cornstarch. Any advice of how I can do better next time?5 stars

    1. Hmm, the cornstarch def should have thickened it up, you could try adding even more cornstarch next time, maybe more cornstarch and less water to the slurry ratio? Glad you liked them!!
