Sausage Gravy & Biscuit Casserole is an easy way to serve this classic breakfast dish! Bake it all together in one dish for a perfect breakfast!
Hey guys!!! So the holidays are upon us once again and I am so excited!! I cannot wait. I love everything about the holidays, but especially the food, and making and sharing food with my family.
Every year, the ladies in my family have a tradition of spending one entire day just Christmas shopping. We use that day to pick up any presents we forgot and to finish our lists.
We always have a nice ladies lunch in the middle of shopping, but I like to have a nice breakfast at my house for everyone before we leave. We def need a good breakfast to get our energy up lol.
The one place we spend the biggest chunk of the day at is Target! Everyone loves Target and they have everything we need; the presents, the wrapping paper, the stocking stuffers and the food!
I always love getting the food I need at Target, and for this breakfast, I got Jimmy Dean® Refrigerated Roll Sausage and Jimmy Dean® Original Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties for these delicious dishes.
I wanted to add a little holiday flair to your everyday sausage biscuits, so I made a little Cranberry Mustard Sauce that tastes amazing on the biscuits with that savory sausage. Jimmy Dean Original Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties make these Cranberry Sausage Biscuits come together in no time because they are already cooked! I just warm them up in a pan and pop them on those biscuits with a good smear of that Cranberry Mustard Sauce. So good that everyone even grabbed another one to go! Just a quick little hack to make those sausage biscuits a little more festive.
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Now, the main attraction of this breakfast is the Sausage Gravy & Biscuit Casserole. This is one of my favorite ways to prepare this classic because I just think it is easier to serve and easier to eat this way. It also stays warmer, the biscuits don’t dry out and it’s easier to whip up a little ahead of time and keep warm.
I love using Jimmy Dean Refrigerated Roll Sausage for my Sausage Gravy & Biscuit Casserole. I can easily find it right in the refrigerated section at my local Target. It has a unique, savory blend of Jimmy Dean signature seasonings, and fresh, high-quality pork sausage.
So, I just make my sausage gravy like normal and pour it into a 9×13” pan. I then break apart canned biscuits and place them all over the top of the gravy and bake!
Everyone can just help themselves because the biscuits are already in bite-size pieces, and it is a just a quick little hack to improve an already delicious dish!
These are great breakfast dishes made with Jimmy Dean Sausage that I get right at Target. They are great for Christmas morning, great for Thanksgiving morning, great for get-togethers, brunches and even for easy dinners during the busy holiday season!
So, next time you are at Target picking out wrapping paper and buying gifts, don’t forget to pick up Jimmy Dean Refrigerated Roll Sausage and Jimmy Dean Original Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties too!
