There is nothing I love more than a fabulous, cheesy appetizer and this dip is perfect.  Lots of melty cheese bakes right in a bread bowl.  This is always one of our favorite dips. I love that this dip comes together so quick, just mix everything together in one bowl and then stuff it into a hollowed-out loaf of french bread and bake until its perfectly melty. This dip is always the first thing to go on the party table.  Everyone loves it!! Bacon, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic and cheddar cheese all got together to create this melty dip perfection. I love that you can customize this dip by changing the cheese, adding some spice or your favorite seasonings, you can totally make this recipe your own.  You can also just serve this dip in a baking dish if you like.  This creamy dip is full of salty bacon and cheesy goodness stuffed inside a hollowed-out loaf of bread. This dip feeds a lot but you might want to make two because I promise you there will be nothing left but crumbs!   I made this last summer for when we were hanging around the pool and it was gone in minutes!! Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make Mississippi Sin Dip ahead of time?

Yes! You can assemble the dip up to a day in advance, cover it tightly, and refrigerate it until you’re ready to bake. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if it’s going into the oven straight from the refrigerator.

Can I use different cheeses?

Definitely! Sharp cheddar is a classic choice, but Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack, Colby Jack, or even mozzarella all work well. Mixing two different cheeses adds even more flavor.

What should I serve with Mississippi Sin Dip?

This creamy dip is delicious with toasted bread cubes, crackers, tortilla chips, pretzel crisps, celery sticks, carrot sticks, pita chips, or sliced baguette. It’s hard to go wrong!

Can I freeze Mississippi Sin Dip?

Because this dip contains cream cheese and sour cream, freezing isn’t recommended. The texture can become grainy after thawing, so it’s best enjoyed fresh or refrigerated for a few days.

Storage

Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or warm the entire dish in a 325°F oven until heated through.
