Yes, you technically can. I love to use the sweet hawaiian rolls ones because they are sweet and soft. Any slider rolls you buy from the store will work.
What else can I top these with?
You can top these with toasted pecans, toasted almond, walnuts, a drizzle of icing, anything you like you can toss on top. You could even do a cream cheese glaze.
How should I store these?
You can store them overnight on the counter but I would keep them in the fridge and just rewarm them.

- Hawaiian Rolls – You can use king’s hawaiian rolls or store brand, they both work great!
- Butter – Salted or unsalted will work, whichever you prefer
- Brown sugar – This gives these cinnamon rolls and the apple filling their sweetness
- Cinnamon – You can’t have these without a little cinnamon or you can use
pumpkin spice or apple pie spice.

Caramel sauce- You need some for the filling and some for drizzling on top.
How to make Hawaiian Caramel Apple Rolls

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Melt your butter with 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds or until melted.
- Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Place your hawaiian rolls in the pan.
- Cut out the middle of each one but do not cut all the way to the bottom.
- Brush the rolls all over with the cinnamon butter.
- Dice up your apples and add them to a pot with the remaining cinnamon, brown sugar and caramel sauce.
- Cook over medium heat 10-15 minutes until the apples are softened and the sauce is thickened.
- Spoon the apple mixture into the center of each roll.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the rolls are golden, keep an eye on them, you do not want them to burn.
- Set aside to cool slightly..
- Place a bit of caramel sauce into a ziploc bag and snip off the end.
- Drizzle the icing all over the top of the rolls.
- Serve!
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge and just warm them up real quick.

- 2 teaspoons cinnamon divided
- 4 apples
