These Bunny Butt Truffles are also no bake! Perfect for whipping up ahead of time for Easter.

I love this recipe because you can make the truffles as big as you like or as small as like, if you want to make little poppable truffles.

This is a very very easy recipe!  I promise you can make these!! You will be amazed how easy they are.

They are also so fun to decorate.  You can buy bunny feet and tail sprinkles but I just piped the white chocolate into little feet.

These cookie truffles recipe is so easy. Just mix together a few ingredients, form the dough into truffles, freeze, dip into chocolate and decorate!! It is literally that simple.  You will be making these Bunny Butt Truffles faster than the Easter Bunny!

Now the dipping process is so quick so you do have to work quickly when adding the feet.

These are delicious and make great gifts and the recipe makes about twenty cookie truffles depending on how big you make yours so that’s a lot of delicious truffles!

These are such a great sweet treat for the holiday.  The lemon cookie filling tastes incredible.

Do I chill these in the fridge or freezer?

I chill them in the freezer because that makes it easier when dipping but you can also chill them in the fridge.  Either way just make sure they stay cold while you are dipping the others.

Can I melt chocolate chips for dipping?

I have never had too much luck melting chocolate chips for dipping.  You have to add a shortening or coconut oil to get it to a good dipping consistency.  I always just buy the almond bark or candy melts. You can find these in the baking or party aisle of your grocery store.  I have had great luck finding them at Walmart but craft stores carry them too!

Is almond bark the same as white chocolate?

It is!  And I love working with it, it melts so easily and is perfect for dipping.  I do not recommend using white chocolate chips for this at all, it almost never melts correctly and can make the dipping process very difficult.

Can I make these bunny truffles ahead of time?

Sure!! I would say you could make these 3 days in advance.  You can make them 3 months ahead of time if you freeze them before dipping in chocolate.

Do these bunny butt cookie truffles need refrigeration?

Depending on how long they will be around for.  If you make them the night before and they will be eaten the next day you can leave them unrefrigerated.  After that I would keep the leftover in the fridge just because there is cream cheese in the filling.

INGREDIENTS

  • Cream cheese-  You want to make sure this softened to room temperature so it mixes in more easily with the cookies.
  • Lemon oreos-  You can use lemon oreos or any lemon sandwich cookies.  You can also switch it up and use any flavor oreo you like.
  •  White melting chocolate-  You can use either white chocolate melting wafers or white almond bark.  Do not use white chocolate chips, they do melt as smoothly.
  •  Pink melting chocolate-  You just need a little bit of this for the bunny toes.
