- Cooked, shredded chicken- You can boil chicken or use a rotisserie chicken or any leftover chicken you have on hand.
- Scallions- I love the light onion flavor you get from the green onions but you can use red onion if you prefer.
- Dill Pickles- You can use any pickles you like in this. I do like to use the more traditional dill pickle but you can use bread and butter pickles, spicy pickles, garlic pickles,sweet pickles, any you like.
- Hardboiled eggs- These add such great flavor to the chicken salad.
- Sweet relish- I like to use sweet relish in mine but you can also use dill relish if you like.
- Dill- Fresh dill really gives this pickle chicken salad a great pickle flavor. You can use dried if that is all you have on hand but make sure to use a little less.
- Mayonnaise- Use a good quality mayo that you like.
- Sour cream- The sour cream helps add creaminess to lightness to this chicken salad recipe. You can also use plain greek yogurt.
- Yellow mustard- This adds a great pop of flavor and really works well with the pickle flavor. Dijon mustard would also be great in this.
- Garlic Powder- Garlic powder adds a great flavor.
- Salt and Pepper- Just a bit for flavor.

- In a large mixing bowl combine the chicken, chopped eggs, celery, pickles, and scallions.
- In a small bowl combine the relish, dill, garlic powder, mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard and salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the dressing over the chicken mixture.
- Toss to combine.
- Serve on croissants or thick bread for serving.
- Store leftovers in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 4 days.
