I do use candy eyes for these and we usually do not eat those, but you can substitute the candy eyes for black olives or even just a drop of mustard.

How to make these Mummy Meatballs
- Full recipe below
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a mixing bowl combine your ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, italian seasoning, minced dried onion and garlic powder.
- Once fully combined separate the meat into 8 equal portions.
- Roll the portions into a log shape.
- You can either bake or pan fry the meat. They will cook a bit later too so they do not need to be cooked all the way through. I cook them on the stove in a medium skillet over medium heat for about 10 minutes, flipping once or twice. But you can just pop them in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes.
- Set the cooked meat on a paper towel lined plate to cool slightly.
- Meanwhile slice your crescent rolls into long strips.
- Start wrapping your meatball mummys with the dough strips leaving out a little space for the eyes.
- Place on a parchment lined baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the dough is golden.
- Remove from the oven.
- Using marinara sauce stick the eye onto the face while they are still warm.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Gather your ingredients.
Mix everything together.
Form your mummy shapes.
Pan fry them.
Cut your crescent rolls into strips.

Ingredients you need
- Lean Ground Beef – I like to use lean ground beef but you can use what you prefer.
- Breadcrumbs – You can use plain or italian seasoned.
- Parmesan Cheese – This helps bind the meatballs and add flavor.
- Egg – This helps the meatballs hold their shape.
- Italian Seasoning – Adds flavor.
- Minced dried onion – You can use this or onion powder, both will be delicious!
- Garlic Powder – For flavor! You can also add fresh is you prefer.
- Crescent roll dough – Any kind will work here.
- Candy eyes – Again you can skip these and use mustard or black olives, I use the candy eyes and we just pick them off.
- Marinara for dipping – Just a jar of marinara works perfectly.
