This Halloween Bark is a great treat for kids to help make!

Halloween Bark is a deliciously spooky treat the kids can help with!  Orange, green, purple and black chocolate gets swirled together with cookie eyes and Halloween sprinkles.  This is as fun to make as it is to eat.

I love Halloween!  Probably because I love candy and Halloween comes with some of the best candy!  I love this recipe (if you can even call it a recipe, more like a technique, but it’s really just melting chocolate and sticking things to it lol) because anytime you can put chocolate and sprinkles on top of more chocolate count me in!

This Spooky Bark is one of my kids favorite things to make.  This is a recipe that is great for kids to help with and they have a blast.  They get to help from start to finish!

They love to help swirl the different color chocolate into each other, then top with their favorite Halloween candies and sprinkles. Then they get to make the eyes!  That is my favorite part, they are so adorable even though they are supposed to be spooky lol.  They even have fun breaking it into pieces after it cools.

Of course you can’t have Halloween Bark without the Halloween candy and for this I just used some M&Ms in the eyes but you can totally add any candy you like.  Candy corn, Halloween colored candies would all be great in this bark.

This is such a festive treat you can make it and set it out on your Halloween table or package it up for friends and family or hand out at a Trunk or Treat!

This is so fun and I love the bright colors and the big cookies eyes and I know you and your kids will too!

So this Halloween make this Halloween Bark with your kids, I promise ya’ll will love it!

Can I use food coloring in the bark?

No!! Please do not put food coloring in your chocolate, it will seize up and be a clumpy mess, just buy the pre colored chocolate melts.

Where do I find the colored chocolate melts?

I always find mine at Walmart in the party section, where they have like wedding cake stuff but you can also get them at craft stores like Micheals and of course you can find them on Amazon and get them delivered right to your door.

Can I use other candies?

Of course!  Use any Halloween candies or sprinkles you like!

Ingredients

  • Purple melting chocolate –  I used a lighter purple but the darker will work just as good!
  • Green melting chocolate –  I used a darker but I have seen a more neon green that would be awesome here!
  • Orange melting chocolate –  Of course we have to use orange for this Halloween bark.
  • Black melting chocolate –  If you cannot find black you could use chocolate.
  • Chocolate sandwich cookies – Just carefully split these in half and use the side with the cream to make the eyes.  Around Halloween you can often find ones with orange cream that would be great too!
  • Mini chocolate sandwich cookies –  These are to make the little eyes, so cute!
  • Mini m&ms – I use the brown mini M&Ms to make the pupils for the little eyes.
  • Regular m&ms –  I use the brown M&Ms to make the pupils for the regular eyes.
  • Halloween sprinkles –  I ordered these kind of HALLOWEEN SPRINKLES from Amazon
