I was recently asked by The J.M. Smucker Company to create some unique tips for using their delicious Smucker’s® sundae toppings and I wanted to share them with you.
Hey y’all!! It is summer! It is super hot out and hot days just beg for ice cream sundaes!!
I had to go grocery shopping the other day at Walmart and it was already 95 degrees. Dean was grouchy and already complaining about the heat, the hot car, everything. I admit I didn’t want to venture out into that heat either but onward we went.
Of course I bribed him with the toy aisle when we got there and even that wasn’t working now we were both hot, grouchy and irritated.
I hustled through my shopping and when I hit the ice cream aisle inspiration struck! I saw all the varieties of ice cream Walmart has to offer and then spotted the shelf of Smucker’s® sundae toppings. I knew just the thing to cheer him up and cool him off.
Ice cream sundaes for dinner!!
I have always thought how awesome it would be to have a sundae bar for dinner, just one night in the summer, ice cream for dinner. It is such a simple idea (and dinner) but I can see it creating lots of memories for my kids and I knew they will love it and it would start a great tradition!
It seemed like today would be a good day to start that tradition!
Dean instantly perked up and we browsed all the delicious Smucker’s® sundae toppings and I had to grab the Salted Caramel and Hot Fudge. The jars looked so cute and vintagy I could not resist throwing them in my cart! Dean picked out some great and fun toppings as well, but I will keep those ones to myself till I show you how to throw an awesome ice cream for dinner sundae bar (stay tuned for that)
So we brought our ice cream goodies home and got started prepping our ice cream dinner that I cannot wait to share with you!
So grab a cart and head to Walmart where you too can get all the fixins for a great sundae bar thanks to all the delicious toppings Smucker’s has to offer, and create a family summer tradition of your own!
