I always love finding easy but comforting dinners that the whole family will love and that is why I love these Slow Cooker Smothered Hamburgers. This is such an easy weeknight dinner that is always a family favorite.
Beef patties get seasoned up and quickly pan-fried until browned and popped in to the slow cooker with a delicious gravy made from cream of mushroom soup and brown gravy mix.
This is amazing on pile of fluffy mashed potatoes with some roasted carrots. But we also love them over egg noodles or white rice.
You can also add sliced onions or mushrooms to add to these.
This is such a warm, comforting, hearty meal that takes minutes to prepare and slow cooks until nice and tender all day. Your house will smell amazing.

How to make these Slow Cooker Smothered Hamburgers

- Combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, worcheshire sauce, steak seasoning, egg and bread crumbs.
- Mix well and divide into 4 patties.
- Brown the patties 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned.
- Remove from pan and place into the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Combine the cream of mushroom, water and brown gravy mix and pour into slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low 6 hours or high 4 hours.
- Serve!

- Lean ground beef- I like to use lean because it shrinks less while cooking.
- Dry onion soup mix- This is the secret ingredient to the flavor of these burgers.
- Worcheshire sauce- Gives the burgers their savory flavor.
- Steak seasoning- I use McCormick but use your favorite!
- Egg- To help bind everything together.
- Bread crumbs- Helps keeps the patties formed.
- Cream of mushroom soup- Gives the gravy it’s base.
- Water- To make the gravy.
- Brown gravy mix- Thickens the gravy up.
- Parsley- just there to add a pop of color

Can I use any other meat?
Yes! You could use ground turkey or pork if you like.
Can I use another soup?
If you don’t like mushroom you can substitute the cream of mushroom for cream of chicken or cream of onion or even cream of celery would be great in this.
What can I add to this?
You can add sliced onions to the slow cooker or fresh mushrooms.
How to store the leftovers?
Just store this in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon worcheshire sauce
- 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
- 1 egg
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 (0.87) envelope brown gravy mix
- Parsley for garnish, optional
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, worcheshire sauce, steak seasoning, egg and bread crumbs.
- Mix well and divide into 4 patties.
- In a large skillet over medium high heat brown the patties 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned.
- Remove from pan and place into the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a bowl combine the cream of mushroom, water and brown gravy mix.
- Pour the gravy mix over the burgers.
- Cover and cook on low 6 hours or high 4 hours.
- Serve!
