Ingredients used
- Lean Ground Beef – I like to use lean ground beef but you can use any ground beef.
- Red Bell Pepper – Adds sweetness and color to these sliders.
- Green Bell Pepper – Adds great flavor to the sliders.
- Onion – You can use fresh or frozen chopped onion.
- Garlic – Just a bit adds a ton of flavor.
- BBQ Sauce – Use your favorite brand.
- Chili Powder – Adds flavor and color.
- Brown Sugar – This adds that signature sloppy joe sweetness.
- Mustard – Adds a bit of tang to the sliders.
- Worcestershire Sauce – Gives these a savory flavor.
- Cheddar Cheese – You can use any cheese you like.
- Hawaiian Rolls – I love the sweetness of these rolls with the sloppy joe filling.
- Butter – You need this for topping.
- Sesame seeds – For topping the rolls. Totally optional.
How to make Sloppy Joe Sliders

- In a large skillet over medium high heat add the ground beef, red bell pepper, green bell pepper and onion.
- Cook until the beef is brown and drain off any grease.
- To the skillet add the garlic, bbq sauce, chili powder, brown sugar, mustard and worcheshire sauce.
- Let everything cook together about 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice your hawaiian rolls in half and place 6 slices of cheddar on the bottom and top with the sloppy joe mix.
- Top the sloppy joe mix with the remaining 6 slices of cheese and the tops of the buns.
- Brush the bun tops with the melted butter and sprinkle with a little sesame seeds and parsley.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve!

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Half of a small red bell pepper
- Half of a small green bell pepper
- Half of a small onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups bbq sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 ½ tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 12 slices cheddar cheese
- 12 count Hawaiian Rolls
- 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
- Sesame seeds and parsley for topping

- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
