Hey guys!!! Did you know it is Earth Month? Yup! April is Earth Month! Everything around us is turning green and coming to life which makes it the perfect time to celebrate Earth and focus more on respecting our great planet and learning how to live more sustainably!
Earth Month is a fabulous time to learn, teach and raise awareness about the environment and do whatever you can to appreciate our planet in whatever way you want to! There is no wrong way to celebrate!
This is an amazing time to get out there with your family or your friends and help our Earth, your Earth! You can recycle, clean up your beach, start bringing your reusable bags to the store where you can purchase energy efficient light bulbs, start a compost, whatever works for you, just get out there and make a difference!
I was lucky enough to visit the Bigelow Factory last year and they are all about sustainability. I was blown away by all they do there. They recycle everything, they try to cut back on their packaging from their supplies and recycle what they do use. Even their lunch room for their staff was incredible, all the plates and serving ware were recycled, they had a compost bin in the cafeteria along with several recycling bins and tons of little bins for your tea bags which they also recycle!! In fact all 3 Bigelow Tea Factories are Zero Waste To Landfill! They are just amazing in their efforts to be so green and sustainable! I am so in awe of all they do, it just makes me love them more and more! Plus don’t forget Bigelow Tea is All American: 100% American made by an American Family; an American Company for the American consumer which you can pick up at your local Walmart!
I do have a little recipe to share with you today that helps me be a littler greener!
I used to love buying these bottled citrus green tea drinks and even though I was recycling the bottles I still felt a little pang of guilt every time I bought one.
Sooo I came up with this recipe to give me all that yummy green tea flavor right at home in a pitcher eliminating all those plastic bottles!
This recipe is super simple you can make it for one or you can make a pitcher full! It is easy to multiply the ingredients and make it for a crowd! It is fresh, light, refreshing and the perfect drink to celebrate Earth Month with!
- Bigelow Green Tea with Lemon
- 8 cups water
- Lemon Slices
- Orange Slices
- Lime Slices
