I always have Mission Super Soft Flour Tortillas on hand because my family goes through a lot of them! My son takes them for lunch everyday as a wrap, they are the star of Taco Tuesdays, but I love using them in a dessert so today I’ll be walking you through this recipe! I might even have to recreate this for my football gatherings this fall.
Their Super Soft Tortillas are amazing! They are so pillowy soft right from the package, sometime my kids just like to snack on them! They are great in this recipe and are so yummy with the apple pie filling cinnamon sugar outside. Don’t forget to serve them with extra caramel for dipping!
You can make your own apple pie filling or use your favorite canned apple pie filling! I used canned because my kids leave me no time for homemade filling lol.
Caramel Apple Pie Quesadillas
- This recipe is super simple! You just start with one of those Mission Super Soft Flour Tortillas and place it in a greased pan over medium heat.
- I then add a few drizzles of caramel, the pie filling, more caramel.
- Top with another tortilla and spray the top of that one with cooking spray or melted butter.
- Flip the quesadilla over when first side is brown.
- While second side is cooking sprinkle top side with cinnamon and sugar.
- When second side is done cooking place onto plate that has a layer of cinnamon sugar on it.
- Slice in 4ths and serve!
I know I will be making these a lot this season!! I think they will be perfect for sitting out of the porch under a quilt and having a sweet treat in the chilly evenings. These will be great for when the family comes over after visiting the pumpkin patch. They are great anytime!!

Made my own apple filling, delicious
It looks delicious, my family will be trying it out soon.
Do you have a recipe for doing something similar with a pumpkin filling? The apple looks delicious.
I don’t, but that’s a great idea!!
Do you use a Carmel sauce or something else.
Just caramel sauce in a jar, not the squeeze bottle kind.
What kind of caramel?
I just used the caramel ice cream topping, the kind in a jar not a bottle.
What a fantastic idea! I have some apples on the table that need to be used, and I have just found the *perfect* way! Simple, delicious, and quick ~ what could be better? Thank you for sharing this!
Side note: One could use *any* flavor of pie filling… I loved the comment asking about pumpkin filling! Now I’m imagining this with blackberry pie filling… oh my!
<3
DEE~LISH~ US!! A few chopped walnuts or almonds for the ” nut” in your fanily!! * like my husband!! ; ) haha Thanks for sharing!!3
For those who need to eat Gluten Free or are Gluten sensative (me) there are Gluten Free soft tacos too! Will be treating myself to some apple pie soon! How about a little bit of vanilla bean ice cream on top? MMMmmmmmm!
These look delicious. I just got a quesadilla maker so I am going to try them in that.
Do you serve these with extra caramel for dipping?
Actual works best if you fill half, flip other half over. Yes, you only get two quesadillas but….they each have a closed side to support drippage.
What about some shredded cheddar cheese make it a real quesadilla cheddar goes with apple right?
As a quesadilla purist, and fan of apples and cheese, I will be making mine with a sharp cheddar so that it’s a true apple pie quesadilla hahahha can’t wait!
