- Apple cider – You can buy this bottled but I just use the mix, it has great flavor.
- Butter – This keeps the cake nice and moist.
- Eggs – These help bind the cake and help it rise.
- Ground Cinnamon – Gives a great Fall flavor to the cake.
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
- Butter – This keeps the cake moist and helps the cinnamon sugar stick to the cake.
- Cinnamon Sugar- This creates the great cinnamon sugar coating on the outside.
How to make this Apple Cider Doughnut Bundt Cake
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a 12-cup bundt pan.
- In large bowl using an electric mixer beat the cake mix, apple cider, 1/2 cup melted butter, 4 eggs, and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 20 minutes.
- Remove from pan to cooling rack to cool.
- Place the cake on your serving plate with parchment paper underneath.
- Brush the top and sides of cake with 3 tablespoons melted butter.
- In small bowl, mix sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until blended.
- Coat the cake with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture, pressing it into the sides.
- Let the cake stand 15-20 minutes and then cover with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve!
