My family loves Halloween and so do I! I think I love it so much because I love candy and Halloween comes with some of the best candy! This Halloween recipe (if you can even call it a recipe, more like a technique, but it’s really just melting chocolate and sticking things to it lol) because anytime you can put chocolate and sprinkles on top of more chocolate count me in!
This Spiderweb Bark is one of our favorite things to make. It is such a kid-friendly treat and activity. This is great for kids to help with and they have a blast. They get to help from start to finish!
My kids love to create their own little spiderwebs and have a blast swirling the chocolate around to create the web, then they get to add whatever sprinkles and little spiders they like.
You can use candy spiders or use chocolate to create the little spiders.

RECIPE FAQS
Can I use other colors of chocolate?
Yes! You can whatever color candy melts or chocolate you like. Green and orange would be fun but you can also use chocolate almond bark or chocolate chips if you like.
Where do I find the colored chocolate melts?
I always find mine at Walmart in the party section, where they have like wedding cake stuff but you can also get them at craft stores like Micheals and of course you can find them on Amazon and get them delivered right to your door.
Can I top these with other candies?
Of course! Use any Halloween candies or sprinkles you like!
INGREDIENTS
- Pretzel Sticks – I like to use the thin salty ones for this recipe.
- White Candy Melts – Candy melts or almond bark will work better than chocolate chips for this.
- Halloween sprinkles – I like to get mine from Amazon, like these HALLOWEEN SPRINKLES.
- Candy Melts – You can use any color candy melts to make the web but I like to use the black or chocolate candy melts to pipe on the little spiders.
How to make Spiderweb Bark
- On a large piece of parchment paper or a parchment paper lined tray lay out 10 sets of 8 pretzel sticks arranged in a spoke pattern.
- In a large microwave safe bowl melt the white candy melts in increments of 30 seconds, stirring in between until smooth and totally melted.
- Transfer the melted white chocolate to a ziploc bag and snip a tiny corner off.
- Pipe a circle in the middle of all the spiderweb to connect the 8 pretzels together.
- Then just pipe in circles around the pretzels to create the spider web effect.
- Sprinkle on some sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
- To create the spiders you can melt some black or dark chocolate and pipe a circle on the spiderwebs and then use a toothpick to drag some leg shapes out from the chocolate.
- Or you can use brown M&Ms or even just large black sprinkles.
- Set aside to set for 1 hour.
- Serve!
