There is nothing I love more an easy dinner that I can just throw in the slow cooker that everyone will love and this Honey Balsamic Pork Loin fits the bill.

I love that I can just throw everything in the slow cooker and have a delicious, flavorful dinner that everyone really enjoys.  Whenever I find a dinner that everyone in my house eats I get happy!  And for it to be in the slow cooker? That’s a double win for me!

This pork just falls apart! This cooks up in a flavorful sauce of balsamic vinegar and honey with a few other ingredients that makes this sauce amazing.

I love that you can customize this to your family’s taste, make it spicy, change up the protein, add your favorite seasonings, you can totally make this recipe your own.

Can we also take a minute to talk about how budget-friendly this dinner is?  Everyone is feeling the pinch with the grocery prices right now and you can’t get much cheaper than a dinner with just a few ingredients. So this is a fabulous dinner when you are trying to save a few pennies.

It also is impressive, the tender pork in that thick, rich, sweet sauce with the kick of balsamic is just delightful and you can certainly entertain with this recipe.  Your guests will be wowed!

This dish does have an added step of reducing the sauce down after the pork has cooked, it takes just minutes and is so worth it for that thick glaze that the pork soaks up.

Next time you want an easy slow cooker dinner that tastes delicious and is full of flavor just throw these ingredients together and let the slow cooker take care of the rest!

I promise your whole family will love this Slow Cooker Honey Balsamic Pork Loin.

My favorite slow cooker for this recipe is this Hamilton Beach one.

Can I use any other protein?

Yes, you could use boneless skinless chicken thighs, boneless skinless chicken breasts or even a beef chuck roast.  Just adjust cooking times accordingly.

What should I serve this with?

We loved this piled high on fluffy mashed potatoes but it is fabulous over rice or even on buns like a sandwich.

Can I make this spicy?

You can add red pepper flakes, jalapenos or sriracha to give this a kick.

Ingredients used

  • Pork Loin – Any kind of boneless pork loin or roast will work in this recipe. Just adjust cooking times with the kind of roast you use.
  • Chicken Broth – This adds moisture and flavor to the pork.
  • Balsamic Vinegar – Use a good quality since it is the star of the show.
  • Soy Sauce – I like to use a lite soy sauce to cut back on saltiness.
  • Ketchup – Provides a base for the sauce.
  • Honey –  Adds sweetness and helps the sauce bind.
  • Brown Sugar- Add more sweetness and really helps the sauce thicken.
  • Minced Dried Onion – For flavor, you could also use onion powder or even fresh diced onion.
  • Garlic Salt – I like to use Lawry’s but use what you have on hand.  You could also do fresh garlic.
  • Smoked Paprika –  This just adds a nice hint of smokiness.
