This Slow Cooker BBQ Brisket is so tender and delicious!

This Slow Cooker Brisket is melt in your mouth delicious!  Tender brisket cooks all day in the slow cooker until it is cooked perfectly.  Using the slow cooker is a sure fire way to make the most fabulous brisket that comes out perfect everytime.

There is nothing I love more a delicious, easy dinner that I can just throw in the slow cooker that everyone will love and this brisket fits the bill.

I love that I can just throw everything in the slow cooker and have a delicious, flavorful meal that everyone really enjoys.  Whenever I find a recipe that everyone in my house eats that is a win!  And for it to be in the slow cooker? That’s a double win!

This brisket cooks up so tender and flavorful. This cooks up in a delicious sweet and savory sauce made with beef broth, worcheshire sauce, soy sauce, bbq sauce, smoked paprika, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic salt and pepper.

Brisket may seem super intimidating and you may think you can only smoke it but I am here to tell you you can get delicious fall apart brisket right in the slow cooker.

Not only can you make this inside instead of on the grill or smoker but because you are making it in the slow cooker you won’t heat up the kitchen!

I love that you can customize this to your family’s taste, make it spicier or sweeter, add your favorite seasonings, slice it or shred it.  You can totally make this your own based on your family’s preferences.

You can serve this straight from the slow cooker or place it on a baking sheet and broil to get a nice crust on it.

This is such a great dinner but it is also perfect for parties or get-togethers.  You can slow cook it all day and then shred it up and serve it on buns or in little sliders.  I also like to just serve it sliced over mashed potatoes or rice.

Next time you want a family-friendly dinner everyone will love just throw these ingredients together and let the slow cooker take care of the rest!

I promise your whole family will love this Slow Cooker Brisket.

You will love this recipe because it is

  • Easy and fast.
  • Family friendly.
  • Crowd pleaser.
  • Full of flavor.
  • A set it and forget it meal.
  • Perfect for weeknights.

My favorite slow cooker for this recipe is this Hamilton Beach one.

What should I serve this with?

I love these over mashed potatoes or white rice but it is also great served with macaroni and cheese or this Bacon Pimento Cheese Potato Salad.

Can I make this spicy?

You can add red pepper flakes sriracha or jalapenos to give this a kick.

Should I shred or slice brisket?

That totally depends on your preference.  You can slice it or shred it and it will great both ways piled on soft buns or on top of mashed potatoes or rice. When slicing brisket you should cut against the grain for slices or with the grain to shred it.

Ingredients used

  • 5-7 pound brisket, trimmed-  You can find this in any grocery store but I do find I like the ones at Sam’s Club or Costco best.
  • Beef broth- This keeps the brisket from drying out and provides a good base for the sauce.
  • Worcestershire sauce-  This adds a great savory flavor.
  • Soy sauce- This also provides depth to the flavor.  I like to use a low-sodium soy.
  • BBQ Sauce- Use your favorite flavor.
  • Smoked paprika-  I like to use smoked paprika to add a little smokiness.
  • Brown sugar- For sweetness.
  • Onion powder-  You could use fresh onion or minced dried if you like.
  • Garlic salt- Lawrys is the best garlic salt and is what I use.
  • Black pepper- For flavor.
