Hey guys!!! Sooo it is fall and while to me that means pumpkin patches, apple cider, boots crunching in the leaves and scarves warding off the evening chill.  However, for some it means football!

Now I am not a fan of sports but that doesn’t mean I don’t like football season. I like football season because of all the great food!  We “homegate” during the football season, we enjoy our football feast in the comfort of our own home.

I love coming up with creative spins on classic tailgating dishes.  Whipping up those creative recipes is so easy as long as I have my pantry stocked with Hunt’s® tomatoes.  They make everything delicious and easy!  From dips to chilis to casseroles Hunt’s® makes homegating a snap to create.

I always choose Hunt’s® tomatoes because not only are they delicious but instead of using chemicals to peel their tomatoes Hunt’s® peels their tomatoes using FlashSteam which is just steam from hot water.  So I know there are no chemical by-products on my tomatoes.

Hunts Diced

Also I love that Hunt’s® cans their diced, whole, stewed and crushed tomatoes within hours after harvest, so I know we are getting the freshest tomatoes, yum!

Now onto the super yummy recipe I promised you!

Football season is perfect for serving dips and I wanted to create a dip that was a spin on a stadium classic Chili Cheese Fries!

This recipe comes together in no time and is a great new dip to share with all your football fans plus who doesn’t love Chili Cheese Fries?!

So this recipe just starts with a little ground beef seasoned up with your favorite chili spices.  Then I add in some red kidney beans and a can of delicious Hunt’s® Diced Tomatoes.  That is it for the chili part!  You want a simple thick chili and it only needs a few ingredients.

Then in a pie plate I spread out softened cream cheese.

Top that with the chili mixture.  If you have leftover chili do fret you can use it a millions ways, on nachos or in baked potatoes, the possibilities are endless!

Now I top it with some grated cheese and pop it in the oven just for a few to get the cheese all melty.

I serve this dip with crispy waffle fries but it would also be delicious with those waffle cut potato chips I have seen in stores, yum!
