This No Bake Hot Chocolate Lush is a fabulous no bake dessert that is full of flavor and tastes like a frozen hot chocolate. It is my new favorite dessert! It starts with a layer of crushed chocolate cookies and next a creamy hot chocolate layer, followed by a chocolate pudding marshmallow layer, finally whipped cream and more marshmallows and a drizzle of chocolate to finish it off. This is always a hit and always impressive.
There is nothing better in the winter than an easy No Bake Dessert that I can just whip together and that everyone will love and this Hot Chocolate Lush is just perfect.
My favorite part is that this comes together so quick and is always impressive with the marshmallows and chocolate drizzle. This is going to be your go to dessert all winter long! No need to turn on the oven for this delicious dessert.
This stunning cake starts with a simple chocolate cookie crust, a creamy hot chocolate layer, and a marshmallow chocolate pudding layer before getting topped with whipped cream, marshmallows and a drizzle of chocolate.

Can I freeze this No Bake Hot Chocolate Lush?
Lush cakes freeze beautifully. Just wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months. Let them thaw an hour before serving.
Can I use other cookies for the crust?
Yes! You can use crushed-up chocolate wafers or even chocolate graham crackers, just keep the same amount.
Gather your ingredients.
Mix together the cookies and butter.
Press into a pan.
Mix the cream cheese, hot chocolate and powdered sugar.
Mix to combine and fold in whipped topping.
Spread on top of the crust.
Mix your chocolate pudding with marshmallows.
Spread that into the pan.
Top with more whipped cream and marshmallows.
Drizzle with chocolate sauce and serve.
Ingredients used
- 36 chocolate sandwich cookies- I use Oreos for this but you could also use chocolate wafer cookies.
- Butter- You need melted butter not just softened, you can use unsalted or salted for this recipe.
- Cream cheese- This creates the creamy peanut butter layer.
- Hot Chocolate Mix- You need 5 envelopes of your favorite hot chocolate mix.
- Powdered sugar- Also referred to as confectioners sugar. This sweetens the peanut butter up.
- Whipped topping- Make sure to thaw this and divide it for this recipe.
- Instant chocolate pudding mix- Make sure you get the instant pudding not the cook and serve.
- Milk- I use whole milk but you can use the milk you like to drink.
- Mini Marshmallows – These are to top the lush.
- Chocolate syrup- This is for the drizzle on top but you can also use hot fudge!
How to make this No Bake Hot Chocolate Lush
- In a food processor crush the cookies.
- Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter and press evenly into an 9×13 baking dish.
- In a large bowl using an electric mixer whip together the cream cheese, hot chocolate mix and powdered sugar.
- Fold in one container of the whipped topping.
- Spread over crust evenly.
- Next whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth.
- Stir in 1 cup of mini marshmallows.
- Spread the pudding mixture carefully over the hot chocolate layer.
- Top with the remaining container of whipped topping.
- Sprinkle the top with the rest of the mini marshmallows and drizzle over some chocolate syrup.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Slice and serve!

- ½ cup butter, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 5 envelopes hot chocolate mix
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 (8 ounce) containers whipped topping
- 2 boxes (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- Chocolate syrup for drizzling
Instructions
