This No Bake Butterfinger Lush is such a delicious dessert you can make without heating up the kitchen. Layers of oreo cookies, a creamy peanut butter layer and chocolate pudding make this a crowd-pleasing favorite. Then you top it with all that yummy Butterfinger candy. This one is perfect for get-togethers.

There is nothing better in the summer than an easy No Bake Dessert that I can just whip together and that everyone will love and this butterfinger lush is perfect.

My favorite part is that this comes together so quick and is always impressive.  This is going to be your go to dessert all summer long!  No need to turn on the oven and heat up the kitchen with this delicious dessert.

This fabulous cake starts with a simple chocolate cookie crust, a creamy peanut butter layer, and a luscious chocolate pudding layer before getting topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed Butterfingers.

This is a great dessert in the spring and summer because it is cool, creamy and refreshing. I like that I can make it the night before and have a stunning dessert for any bbq, cookout or potluck this summer. 

I always want to bring the best dessert to every gathering and this one has always impressed.  It just looks so gorgeous with it’s layers and everyone always loves anything that has chocolate and peanut butter.

Can I freeze this No Bake Butterfinger Lush?

Lush cakes freeze beautifully. Just wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.  Let them thaw an hour before serving. 

Can I use other cookies for the crust?

Yes!  You can use crushed-up chocolate wafers or even chocolate graham crackers, just keep the same amount. 

 

Ingredients used

  • 30 chocolate sandwich cookies- I use Oreos for this but you could also use chocolate wafer cookies.
  • Butter-  You need melted butter not just softened, you can use unsalted or salted for this recipe.
  • Cream cheese-  This creates the creamy peanut butter layer.
  • Peanut butter-  Creamy is best for this recipe but you can definitely use crunchy if you prefer.
  • Powdered sugar-  Also referred to as confectioners sugar.  This sweetens the peanut butter up.
  • Whipped topping-  Make sure to thaw this and divide it for this recipe.
  • Instant chocolate pudding mix-  Make sure you get the instant pudding not the cook and serve.
  • Milk-  I use whole milk but you can use the milk you like to drink.
  • Mini Butterfingers-  Chop these up to sprinkle over the top of the lush

How to make this No Bake Butterfinger Lush

 

  1. FULL RECIPE BELOW
  2. In a food processor crush the cookies.  
  3. Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter and press evenly into an 9×9 baking dish. 
  4. In a large bowl using an electric mixer whip together the cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar. 
  5. Fold in 2 cups of the whipped topping. 
  6. Spread over the crust evenly.
  7. Whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth. 
  8. Spread the pudding mixture carefully over the peanut butter layer. 
  9. Top with the remaining whipped topping.
  10. Chop up the Butterfingers and sprinkle all over the top.
  11. Chill before serving.

  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 cups whipped topping, divided
  • 1 box (5.1 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 mini Butterfingers, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a food processor crush the cookies.  
  1. Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter and press evenly into an 9x9 baking dish. 
  2. In a large bowl using an electric mixer whip together the cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar. 
  3. Fold in 2 cups of the whipped topping.

Notes

  • You could also use chocolate peanut butter cookies or peanut butter cookies for the crust. 
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • You can tightly wrap this and freeze for up to 3 months, just thaw before serving.
