Hey guys!!!!  So as you know I have a little boy and that means for the last year we’ve been swimming in LEGOS®!  He is obsessed!!  There are LEGOS® in every nook and cranny of this house, there is a LEGO® Movie blanket on our bed, LEGO® is on our TV, and yes there are LEGOS® to be stepped on in the middle of the night, LEGO® obsessed!!

He loves LEGO® so much he even had a totally awesome LEGO® birthday party….

Now as much as Dean loves LEGOS®s he has some trouble putting some of the sets together, which means we spend a few hours putting his big sets together and usually by the next day he has pretty much destroyed it.  So when we got these LEGO® JUNIOR sets in the mail I was so happy and Dean was beyond excited, that had to be the happiest mail day ever!!

So what are LEGO® JUNIORS ?  LEGO® JUNIORS is designed to give children age 4-7 a great first experience with LEGO® bricks through iconic, fun and easy to build models. LEGO® JUNIORS sets contain quick start elements and numbered pre-packed bags that can be built without help from Mom or Dad – which makes any small builder extra proud.

These are amazing!!  They are great sets made with the younger ones in mind and are perfect for Dean.  The instructions are easy to read and Dean gets so excited to see what the next step is.  I love that some of the pieces are quick start elements which are pieces that normally would be made up of a different LEGO® pieces but in these sets are already in one piece.  The pre-packed bags are numbered which helps them not get overwhelmed digging through to find the piece they need, they just open up the first bag and work till those are gone and open the second one and so on.  I love that he is able to make and remake these sets, or make and then remake them in other way as the instructions usually include 2 or more ways to assemble a set.

The sets even came with a little tool to help get the bricks apart which makes making and remaking things even easier for little hands.

All this enables Dean to put together these sets by himself and they joy he gets on his face from the sense of accomplishment that he was able to assemble his favorite toy.

LEGO® JUNIORS are such a great toy for kids.  It is a hands on creative experience in which which they can learn to read and follow directions to create something they can play with.  It also is an amazing creative outlet for children to just build and learn and create towns and cities and robots and anything their little hearts desire.  They can imagine it and build it right there.  In order to develop as creative thinkers our kids need opportunities, stimulating environments and engaging materials to bring their ideas to life and what better way than with LEGO® .

Dean absolutely loved these sets.  He was so excited for the knights and the king and we played with that for hours (somehow the king got locked in jail with the spooky spider!)

I was excited to play with the pink set and Dean had been really wanting that one so he was thrilled to open it up and have the girls ride their horses and feed them.  I was happy to play with something other than superheroes and bad guys lol (oh the life of a boy mom lol)

These LEGO® JUNIOR sets have just opened up a new world of play for Dean and I am just so happy and proud to watch him make and remake castles and buggies and houses providing hours of creative play.  What more could a mom ask for!
