The BEST Dijon Marinated London Broil

Sharing is caring!

I’m sharing French’s® in my life as part of a sponsored series for Socialstars™ #FrenchsCrowd #FrenchsMustard

Hey y’all!!  Do you feel that?  The weather is getting warmer, days are getting sunnier and hotter and that means BBQs and potlucks and pool parties are just around the corner.  Time to get out those picnic tables and eat dinner by the glow of lighting bugs.

I love to cook out food, the burgers, the ribs, the pies and of course steak.  Born and raised Southern summer BBQs are a summer staple.  Any reason for us to get together and fire up the grill we’re there.

Today I am going to share with you a family favorite recipe.  It is a simple recipe but oh so delicious!

The best thing about this recipe is it can be made on the grill, right on the stove, or even under the broiler!

See this steak gets all its flavor from the marinade and the marinade gets all its flavor from our favorite smooth & creamy French’s Dijon Mustard.

Although French’s is known for its iconic Classic Yellow mustard, did you know that it also has a deliciously bold tasting Spicy Brown mustard AND this smooth & creamy Dijon?

French's Dijon

This is my go to whenever I’m cooking.  It has such a great flavor and adds a pop to anything I’m cooking and works perfectly in this marinade.

My family loves cooking london broil, which is actually a tougher cut of meat but if marinated, cooked properly and sliced correctly becomes a melt in your mouth fabulous dinner.  It is usually a pretty cheap cut of meat that can feed quite a few so that is a few more reasons it is a family favorite!

I start by whipping up a simple marinade, I really like the mustard to shine through on this dish, so I actually slather a thin layer of French’s Dijon all over the meat and place it in a baking dish.

Now I mix together a touch more mustard with worcheshire sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and pepper.

This gets poured over the steak and it goes in the fridge to get all happy and tasty!

When it comes to cooking this meat, it is simple, you want to keep things hot and fast.  Whether on the stove top, under the broiler or on the grill you want to cook this fast and quickly.  This meat needs to stay a minimum of medium, preferably medium rare.

After it rests for 10 minutes you may slice it, but be sure to slice it into thin strips, diagnonally against the grain.  By following these few steps it will ensure this once tough cheap cut of beef becomes something spectacular that will wow your guests and become a family favorite.  I love to use this on salads but we often just serve it up with a few potatoes on the side, yum!

Of course this delicious meal would not be possible without that classic flavor we get from French’s Dijon Mustard which is the real star of this dish!

So this summer make sure to stock up on French’s Dijon Mustard!  It is great in marinades for steak, chicken or pork, it also adds a new layer of flavor to your burgers and sandwiches!
