Back to school bento with Danimals

Are you ready?!?! I know you are probably still laying out by the pool soaking up all that summer sun, but back to school is right around the corner.  It’s coming up like that big yellow school bus pulling up to your house at 7 am.

I love back to school time, the pencils and paper, the smell of a fresh box of crayons, the new book bags with matching lunch boxes, I love it all!

Speaking of lunch boxes I always get Dean a bento box for his lunch.  No I am not some super Pinterest Mom who spends all night cutting vegetables into intricate cartoon characters to create the ultimate bento box. That’s not me lol!  That’s also not what bento boxes are all about.

You might see them on Pinterest and be like that’s crazy, I don’t need one of those.  But you might!

See Dean like most kids only has about 20 minutes to eat lunch at school and kids could easily take up a lot of that time opening and closing a million plastic bags or little tupperware containers.  With a bento box they just open one latch and it’s lunch time!! And at the end up lunch they just close it up and away they go!

So I am a big advocate of bento boxes!!

It can be a little hard to get back into that routine after summer and with school pick ups and drop offs and after school practices and homework there isn’t a lot of time to get to the grocery store!  That is why I love using Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup service.  I can lay in bed at night and add all the groceries I need to my app and pick up all my groceries after I drop the kids off at school, easy peasy!

If you want to make some delicious bento boxes for you kids this year go for it!!  Don’t feel like you have to make them Pinterest perfect (if you have an older son like me, he might not want that lol) and just fill up those little sections with their favorites!
