INGREDIENTS

  • Lean ground beef-  I like to use lean ground beef for this swedish meatballs recipe.

  • Ground pork- Ground pork helps add great flavor to these meatballs.

  • Onion powder-  This adds great subtle onion flavor.

  • Garlic salt-  I like to use garlic salt to add garlic flavor and a little saltiness.

  • Salt and black pepper- For seasoning.
  • Breadcrumbs-  You need bread crumbs to bind the meatballs together.

  • Egg- Egg also helps to keep the meatballs formed.

  • Milk-  Milk keeps these meatballs moist and tender. I prefer to use whole milk in this recipe.

  • Butter- You need butter to make your cream sauce. You can use salted or unsalted butter.

  • Flour- This thickens the cream sauce.

  • Vegetable stock- Vegetable stock is full of flavor and helps make the base for the cream sauce but you can also use chicken stock.

  • Beef stock- This adds beefiness and richness to the sauce. You can also use beef broth.

  • Heavy cream- Of course you need cream for a cream sauce.
