Ingredients used for dr pepper bbq chicken
● Drumsticks- I use just regular skin on, bone in drumsticks, budget friendly and kid friendly.
● Dr. Pepper– This is what gives this chicken bbq sauce it’s flavor. You only need a small can of it.
● Black pepper- For flavor
● Smoked paprika- I like to use the smoked because it adds a great smoky bbq flavor.
● Onion powder- You can use the powder or the minced kind.
● Garlic powder- You can substitute garlic salt if that is what you have on hand, just cut it back a little to cut down on saltiness.
● Cajun seasoning- You could make this optional based on your family but I love the flavor it gives the legs.
● Honey- This sweetens everything up and helps everything get glazy.
● BBQ sauce- Use your favorite bbq sauce. I like sweet baby rays.
