Hey mamas!!!  Today I want to chat with you a little bit about toddlers and their diet or lack there of.  Sam is 22 months old and has quite an opinion about meals.  Some days he is the best eater and I go to bed knowing he has a full tummy and has ate a nutritional dinner.  Then there are nights where he has eaten nothing but a handful of goldfish crackers and half of a chicken nugget.

While I know this kind of back and forth appetite is normal for a toddler I still want to make sure he is getting the nutrients he needs.

That is when I discovered Enfagrow® Toddler Next Step™ which has the DHA to help bridge the nutritional gap that occurs when our picky toddlers decide that this week they will only eat bread and popsicles lol. In addition, Enfagrow has prebiotics designed to help support digestive health which is important when they have such a varied and inconsistent diet.

Did you know that 85% of brain growth happens in the first three years of life? We have a big job to ensure our toddlers are getting important DHA to help nourish this brain growth.

DHA is an important building block of the growing brain. Experts recommend that our toddlers have 70-100 mg/day of DHA to support early brain and eye development.  And I know Sam is not getting that, even on his good eating days.

On average, a toddler’s diet only provides 25% of the recommended amount of DHA which leaves a nutrition gap. The main source for DHA is fish and I don’t know about your toddler but fish isn’t Sam’s first choice and most toddlers won’t eat fish at all. Toddler favorites like cereal, cheese, bananas, regular milk, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, carrot sticks and fruit puree all have 0 mg of DHA.)

In fact some of Sam’s favorite foods like cereal, cheese, bananas, regular milk, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, carrot sticks and fruit puree all have 0 mg of DHA!!  That is crazy!! So you can see where we need Enfagrow which has DHA to help bridge this gap.

Enfagrow Toddler is a milk-based toddler drink tailored for just for toddlers 1-3 years.  It has DHA and complements their diet to help ensure good nutrition while they go through this picky stage.
