Woo it is getting chilly out there! This time of year I crave warm easy breakfast ideas, like cinnamon rolls, sweet rolls, casseroles, all that good stuff to warm you up on a cold morning.
While I love a hot comforting breakfast I do not love getting out of my warm cocoon of blankets early to make a big ol’ breakfast. That is why I love taking shortcuts in the kitchen to create amazing meals in half the time.
Today I am going to show you a great recipe that is perfect in the morning with some fluffy eggs and fresh fruit.
Nothing is more comforting and delicious than sweet rolls and who doesn’t love french toast? Today I am going to put both of them together in one easy peasy yummy dish Pecan Caramel French Toast Casserole.
I love making this casserole in little individual mason jars with a skewer of sausage, because dipping your sausage in that sweet sticky glaze is heaven on Earth!
When I am at Walmart I always make sure to grab lots of Pepperidge Farm Sweet Rolls, they are fabulous in this recipe and amazing on their own if you just want to pop them in the oven for a quick warm sticky roll in the morning. I used their Pecan Caramel Sweet Roll in this recipe but I also love their Apple Cinnamon Sweet Roll and it will work perfectly in this recipe as well. When you are picking up your rolls don’t forget to head over and grab some 100% Florida Orange Juice to go along with this warm breakfast. To make it even better keep your eye out for a $1 off coupon when buying Florida Orange Juice and Pepperidge Farm Sweet Rolls.
Now onto this yumminess!
First you just cut up your sweet rolls and pile them lightly greased mini mason jars (I used wide mouth 4 oz jars) or you can just make one 8×8 dish of this bake.
Now pour on the liquid ingredients.
Bake 10 minutes then add the caramel glaze and pecans.
Bake another 10 minutes and remove from oven.
Another drizzle of syrup and you are good to go!
Wait! Don’t forget to add your little sausage skewer, yum!
How cute and delicious are these?!
These make the perfect sweet bite to serve with breakfast!
Speaking of sweet you can take that 100% Florida Orange Juice and make these amazing Orange Raspberry Smoothies. We love these smoothies and with all that frozen fruit, yogurt and juice they make for a vitamin packed treat my kids love, plus it is so pretty!! Just make your favorite orange smoothie and your favorite raspberry smoothie and layer them in a tall glass.
