Hey guys!!! Whew are we all still recovering from the holidays? I know I am!! As much as I would love to not step into the kitchen for a good while that’s not going to happen! Now we have all the football get-togethers to cook for, this mama is tired!!
Thankfully game day food is usually pretty easy to whip together as football fans are easy to please and they want comforting, ‘football watching food’ and today I am going to show you how to make one of our favorites to serve, one that will get you in and out of the kitchen quick!
BBQ Meatball Bomb Bread!!! This will have those football fans cheering for sure!
I was shopping in Harris Teeter last Friday (gotta get those delicious subs for dinner!) and I noticed these awesome meatballs by Adiells, pre-cooked and in the refrigerated section; I was intrigued!
Aidells meatballs and sausages right in the refrigerated section have so many great flavors like Jalapeno, Caramelized Onion, Italian and Teriyaki Meatballs, all pre-cooked and ready to go! I wanted to pick up some sausages too and chose Spicy Mango Jalapeno, but can’t wait to try their Chicken & Apple, Andouille, Italian and Chorizo flavors, yum!
I love that Aidells is made from high quality meats and ingredients which is why they taste so delicious! With a 30-year history of creating amazingly flavorful and delicious food it is no wonder these have become our new favorites!
Next time you are at Harris Teeter make sure to grab some meatballs or sausages for yourself and stock up! They cook up in minutes and are a lifesaver for busy nights!
Okay okay on with the recipe!
Super simple here I promise! I love pinning those delicious pull apart breads but in my experience, they aren’t the easiest things to make. It can take forever to get those middle layers cooked thoroughly and by then the bottom is a little more crusty than I like so I just create one layer of these bread “bombs” on a cookie sheet, you still get to pull them apart, but one layer cooks a lot faster.
I just separate some biscuit dough, spread with my favorite BBQ sauce, a little cheddar cheese, a Caramelized Onion Meatball and close it all up.
Onto a baking sheet they go where they are brushed with a bit of butter and an extra sprinkle of cheese.
Into the oven for about 15-20 minutes and you have an appetizer sure to make it to the last touchdown!
Oh I forgot to mention one more awesome thing you can do at Harris Teeter, you can complete your shopping list using

- 1 can 8 count biscuit dough
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup melted butter

So easy and sooo good!! You can switch up the sauce and change the meatball flavor and create a different spin. For example try teriyaki sauce and the teriyaki meatballs with a little pineapple, yum!
