Frequently Asked Questions About This Recipe:
Can I use any sausage?
Yes, any sausage will work. This is a recipe for little smokies but you can use any smoked sausage. I like to use a beef/pork sausage but turkey sausage or chicken sausage also works great! You can also spice it up and use an andouille or jalapeno sausage.
Can I make this on the stove?
Yes you can actually make this on the stove or even in the oven. Of course this would lower the cooking time. Just add everything to a large pan to cook it on the stove over medium high heat until thick and glazy. For the oven combine all the ingredients and place in a 9×13 and bake at 400 until glazy, stirring frequently.
Can I use fresh pineapple?
You can! Sometimes fresh pineapple can break down protein but since this doesn’t take too long to cook I think it would work great.
