An Indoors S’mores Bar is the ultimate movie night treat that my whole family looks forward to! It’s so easy to create and a fun family treat!
We love summertime! The kids get to run around and wear themselves out before slipping off to sleep in those cold summer sheets with sunshine still dancing on their cheeks.
Every Friday night we have movie night, and the boys love it; we let them pick out dinner and whatever movie they want to watch, and we all pile into the bed and end the week perfectly.
Since it is summer, I wanted to make movie night a little more special. We decided to make sure to grill out every Friday before the movie but I wanted something just a little more special, a little more summery.
So I was doing my weekly shopping at Walmart and I saw all the things I needed to make s’mores! Oh they would love that!! Who doesn’t love that classic combination of HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, Jet Puffed Marshmallows and HERSHEY’S Chocolate Bars, all toasty and melty together—yum!
I figured a S’mores Bar would be such a fun movie night treat! But an Indoor S’mores Bar would be even more fun! Then, of course, I had to take it a step further and make into a “camp out” movie night.
Everyone grabbed their blankets and pillows, we all settled into the den, and they picked out a movie while I constructed our Indoor S’mores Bar.
Why Indoor S’mores Bar? Because it’s easier and it means we can have delicious s’mores any time, any day, any weather!
Summers around here are notoriously stormy, so I love that we now have an awesome indoor activity that everyone loves!
Now we all know how to make a s’mores right? You have to get the best classic ingredients: HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, Jet Puffed Marshmallows and HERSHEY’S Chocolate Bars.
You can get those marshmallows all toasty over your flame like I do and construct a fabulously classic s’mores.
Or you can do like me and gather up a few more ingredients to create some truly decadent s’mores.
I love using my tiered tray to set up this Indoors S’mores Bar, it brings that rustic camp look that we are going for.
I pile up the Jet Puffed Marshmallows, fan out the HONEY MAID Honey Grahams and HERSHEY’S Chocolate Bars, then add our favorite extra toppings: peanut butter, sweetened cream cheese and raspberry jam!
Any combination of those spreads on a s’more is out of this world!! Spread a little sweetened cream cheese on a s’more before adding the marshmallow and you have a Cheesecake S’mores.
Add raspberry jam and cream cheese to a s’more and you have a Raspberry Cheesecake S’more which goes so well with the chocolate, yum!!
Or slather on the peanut butter and a little raspberry jam for a PBJ S’more. Amazing!!
These are our favorite combos but you can add anything you like to your Indoor S’mores Bar: peanut butter cups, bananas, sprinkles. Anything that you’ve got in your pantry, you can throw in your S’mores Bar.
As long as you start out with HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, Jet Puffed Marshmallows and HERSHEY’S Chocolate Bars, your s’mores will be delicious!! And you can get everything you need for this Indoors S’mores Bar right at Walmart!
