Skylanders Trap Team Cupcakes
Hey guys!! So are your kid’s obsessed with Skylanders like the rest of the world? Lol Dean begged us for Skylanders for Christmas and since then our whole family has become enthralled with the game. We each have our favorite Skylanders that we enjoy leveling up and playing with. I love that we can play together and it is a really nice game for little ones and older ones as it is not too difficult.
Throughout the game you often have to play a game called Skystones and lemme tell you we fight over whose turn it is to play it lol, it is such a fun game!!
So when I saw that hidden inside specially marked Big G cereals we would find Skystones cards and there was a gameboard on the back we were all soo excited! We love Big G cereals anyways, I mean who doesn’t enjoy a big bowl of Lucky Charms or Cinnamon Toast Crunch?!?
Not only did we get a set of 1 of 4 Skystones cards but it also gave us downloadable code to unlock characters on the mobile Skylanders game, score!!!
So I wanted to have a great family game night playing Skystones but you know this mama just can’t throw down some cards and call it game night, oh no I had to bake lol!
Since the latest game and the one we play is Skylander’s Trap Team I decided to make some Trap Team Cupcakes. Basicially delicious cupcakes with cereal “trapped” inside before frosting.
I used a few different cereals to be “trapped” inside so it was a surprise for everyone what would be trapped inside their cupcake.
We had such a great time playing Skystones and eating our Trap Team Cupcakes. It was so simple to turn a regular weekend night into something special with my family that included something we all love.
You too can create a family game night by purchasing specially marked Big G cereals which include Honey Nut Cheerios, Frosted Cheerios, Fruity Cheerios, Reese’s Puffs, Cookie Crisp, Lucky Charms, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, yum!
Then you just get your card set out of the box and the game board is right on the back. The cupcakes are a cinch to make and really make the game night special.
Best of all not only is Skystones such a fun game to play but it fuels development through imaginative and cognitive play.
So grab your cereal, grab your family, set up Skystones and create some delicious cupcakes and family memories!
