Hey guys!!!!! I am so exited to talk about MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
We are a Marvel family for sure here! My husband has his own room full of comic books, toys and everything Marvel related you could ever dream of! Of course Dean takes after Daddy and loves all things Marvel too! Dean is partial to Iron Man and the Hulk while Dan has always been a hardcore Capt fan (he even has a shield tattoo!) I of course love Thor (I mean really what lady doesn’t enjoy seeing Thor on the big screen ;)
So of course we are pumped for MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron and cannot wait! My boys love dressing up and pretending to be their favorite superheros so when we were in Walmart the other day we spotted some toys and masks to go along with the upcoming movie.
They had everything! Lots of Age of Ultron toys perfect for a little super hero role-playing. Dean headed straight for the Iron Man gloves, soo cool! They had so much to choose from! Masks for all The Avengers, toys and Dean’s favorite the Hulkbuster!
While there I also grabbed some Avengers Doritos, Cheez-Its and Dr. Pepper for a little movie marathon snack time!
Speaking of shopping there is an awesome new Super Heroes Assemble app available on iTunes and the Google Play Store. It turns your phone into a portal to exclusive MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron content and where you can keep up with all the latest behind the scenes action! The best part? You can scan Avengers displays while at Walmart and Walmart.com and become your favorite Avenger, and do other amazing things like explore a Hulkbuster training facility! So keep your eye out for those displays in your Walmart and you can also scan specially marked Avengers packaging on brands like Kellogg’s, Hasboro, Dr. Pepper and Marvel to reveal more secret content! Oh Oh I have more! Starting 04/30 scan any 12 pack of Dr. Peppers with The Avengers on it or the display and you can unlock a digital comic book, so cool!
I gave the boys their new toys and popped in the first Avengers movie while I set up some snacks. The Doritos, Cheez-its and Dr. Pepper make the perfect movie snacks but I wanted to make something a little more interactive….
Since the boys were having such a great time with all the toys and masks and role-playing I came up with a simple recipe for the Hulk to help me with, Hulk Smashamole!
I just take my usual guacamole ingredients and place them in a ziploc bag (and place that one in a ziploc bag lol!) and then let my little Hulk smash (to a degree lol)
Hulk gets to smash and we get a fabulous guacamole perfect for dipping those Doritos in!
You can also make some Thor’s Hammering Hummus the same way by placing a little store bought hummus in a baggie and jazzing it up with some of your favorite spices.
The boys had a blast playing with all their Avengers stuff and Thor and Hulk even got into a little battle for Thor’s Hammer lol! They had such a great time pretending to be their favorite heroes!
When my superheroes where all done playing we grabbed our snacks and settled in for a little movie night to get us even more excited for MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron this Friday, yay!!!
We did laugh over Iron Man’s struggle to eat Cheez-Its with his gloves on lol!
But Iron Man won and finally got some in his mouth instead of the floor lol!
We can’t wait for Friday but this little movie night and dress up/role playing fun has made the wait a little easier, plus with all these great toys and masks and gloves we picked up we will be ready for the ComiCon later this month!
So grab your little (and big) ones and have some fun dressing up, watching The Avengers and making some Hulk Smashamole, everyone will have a blast!
Will you be heading to the movies this weekend to catch MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron this Friday?
