Hey guys!! Today I am going to share with you the absolute best brownies I have ever made! But first I want to tell you what makes these brownies so spectacular!
So the other day I came across these BUTTERFINGER® Dark Bars and I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! I am a dark chocolate junkie, I love it. It is so rich and full of flavor and complements so many flavors so anytime I see a dark chocolate-y candy bar or dessert that is what I go for!
I also love BUTTERFINGERS®. I remember getting them trick-or-treating when I was little and after my first bite of that crispety, crunchety BUTTERFINGER® I was hooked! I wasn’t trading those fun-size bites of yumminess for anything! Now I just steal from my kid’s Halloween buckets lol.
I picked up a few bars to keep in the bathroom because that is where I go when I need a break from my wildlings and give myself a sweet treat I so desperately deserve after wrangling them all day. I got to thinking though about how much my sister loves brownies and how I bet BUTTERFINGER® Brownies would be amazing, not just any brownies but Loaded BUTTERFINGER® Dark Brownies with a thick peanut butter cream frosting and tons of BUTTERFINGER® Dark in the batter, in the frosting, on top, everywhere!
I picked up a box of dark chocolate brownie mix, because let’s be real who has time to make brownies from scratch, not this mama lol.
Once in the kitchen I cranked up the 90s station and got to baking!
I think the best part of baking with these BUTTERFINGER® Dark Bars is sneaking bites. These bars are so good, I might have to put some in my other hidden candy spot (my nightstand for prime midnight snacking lol).
Once the brownies had cooled I whipped up an easy, decadent frosting of butter, cream cheese, vanilla powdered sugar and more BUTTERFINGER® Dark.
After I loaded that onto the cool brownies I added, yup you guessed it, more BUTTERFINGER®.
These brownies were loaded, maybe even overloaded with peanut buttery deliciousness and I could not wait to taste them!!
Let me tell you they are so good I think I blacked out!!
These are the absolute best brownies I have ever made. Dark chocolate-y goodness and peanut butter are a match made in heaven. The crispy crunch of the BUTTERFINGER® put these brownies over the top.

Loaded BUTTERFINGER® Dark Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 18-19 oz box your favorite store bough dark chocolate brownie mix
- water, eggs, oil according to box directions
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 BUTTERFINGER® Dark Bars crumbled
Instructions
- Mix brownie batter according to directions
- Mix in 1 crumbled BUTTERFINGER® Dark Bar
- Bake according to box directions
- Cool brownies while making frosting
- In stand mixer on medium combine peanut butter, butter, cream cheese and vanilla extract
- On low mix in the powdered sugar and 1 crumbled BUTTERFINGER® Dark Bar
- If frosting is too thick you can add a splash of milk
- Frost the brownies
- Top with last BUTTERFINGER® Dark Bar
- Slice and serve!
