Hey guys!! Today, I am going to share with you my favorite hack. My cake hack!! I love creating gorgeous cakes for birthdays and fun cupcakes for my kids. Sometimes though I just do not feel like baking the cake (especially during this heat!), waiting for it to cool and then icing it and then finally decorating it.
Sometimes I prefer to skip straight to the fun part, the decorating!
So on days when I want to take a short cut, I just head to my favorite bakery or grocery store and stop in the bakery (Hey Walmart!) and pick up some already iced cupcakes or cake and take it home and just decorate! I’ve taken regular run of the millpopular store –bought birthday cake with balloons piped on and turned it into the most spectacular and pretty cute monster for my son’s birthday last year and this year I am going to use the same hack for his dino party!
Now there is one thing that you should remember when getting your bakery cake, Ask For Whipped!!!
What does that mean?
It means ask the bakery to use Whipped Icing for your cake. Believe me, it makes a world of difference! I have always preferred Whipped Icing over traditional buttercream, it is just lighter, creamier, silkier, it is amazing! The flavor is perfectly balanced sweetness and it is the better for you choice over heavy buttercream. In fact, it has less calories and less sugar than traditional buttercream, so you can really have your cake and eat it too!

Bring those cupcakes home and get ready to create some amazingly easy dino cupcakes!
All you need is some chocolate graham crackers and small toy dinosaurs. If you are a boy mom like me you should have no problems finding the dinosaur toys in your kid’s room, or under the sofa lol.
Crush up the graham crackers (or let your kids do it!!) and sprinkle them all over the tops of those yummy cupcakes.
Pop a dino in each one and BAM! Easy Dinosaur Cupcakes!!
Decorate your cake stand with some larger dinosaur toys and look at what you made, looking all Pinteresty! And no one has to know it only took minutes!
Not only are these cupcakes adorable but thanks to Whipped Icing they are delicious and EASY.

What a great idea for when my grandsons visit!
These are really, really cute! Such a timesaver too! I would just order some dinos from Amazon though because although I could wash them, I wouldn’t want to put used dinos on people’s food. My boys also chew on toys sometimes so their dinos might look a little crazy, lol!
