Place the sauce ingredients in a bowl.

RECIPE FAQS

Can I use any other sausage?

Yes, you could use any sausage you like, chicken sausage, turkey sausage, spicy sausage, whichever you prefer. 

What should I serve this with?

I serve this as an appetizer but it is also a fabulous dinner over rice or mashed potatoes.  

Can I make this spicy?

You can add red pepper flakes, jalapenos or sriracha to give this a kick.

Ingredients

  • Smoked Sausage – Any kind of smoked sausage will work in this recipe.  I just use regular kielbasa.
  • Honey BBQ Sauce – You can also use barbecue sauce, just use your favorite brand and flavor.
  • Cranberry Sauce – Whole berry or jellied works great in this recipe.  You can even use homemade cranberry sauce.
  • Pineapple Preserves – You can switch it up to your favorite preserve flavor.
  • Cranberries – I like to throw whole cranberries in there for a pop of color.
  • Pineapple Tidbits – These add a little sweetness and look pretty in the dish. You can also use pineapple chunks.

How to make Slow Cooker Cranberry Pineapple Kielbasa Bites

  1. Slice up your sausage and place into your slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine the bbq sauce, cranberry sauce and pineapple preserves.  Stir to combine. 
  3. Pour the sauce into the slow cooker and stir.
  4. Add in the cranberries and pineapple tidbits, stir.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours, stirring frequently to prevent the sugars from burning. 
  6. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
  7. Serve!

  • 3 (12-14 ounce) packs smoked sausage
  • 1 cup honey bbq sauce
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits

Instructions

  1. Slice up your sausage and place into your slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine the bbq sauce, cranberry sauce and pineapple preserves.  Stir to combine. 
  3. Pour the sauce into the slow cooker and stir.
  4. Add in the cranberries and pineapple tidbits, stir.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours, stirring frequently to prevent the sugars from burning. 
  6. Serve!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. 
  • You can also serve this for dinner over some rice.
  • After cooking you can set the slow cooker to warm and serve these right out of the slow cooker.
  • If your sauce is a little thin, remove the lid for the last hour of cooking.
  • You can add a tablespoon of dijon mustard for a little kick.
