Hey guys!!!  I cannot even begin to tell you how big of a Captain America fan my husband is, I mean we got it all here, Capt toys, shields, mugs, lunchboxes and he even has a tattoo.  There is little Captain America stuff in all the nooks and crannies of our house.   So of course he was super pumped for Captain America: The Winter Solider movie and now that is will be on DVD release September 9th I thought what better time for a little Captain America party?!

However, we just moved and everything is a little scattered around here but that won’t stop me from throwing a theme party (I live for theme parties lol)  Being in the middle of moving made things a little difficult but I want to show you how all it takes is a trip to Walmart to pick up a few things and you can turn a regular movie night into a Super Captain America Party!

Not every party you throw has to be an extravagant event, just by buying a few masks and matching plates I was able to take our Captain America 2 movie night into an awesome party!!

Decorating for this get together was a snap since my house is already loaded with Capt stuff.  I just grabbed a few toys from our shelves and some red white and blue tableware and this party was ready to go!!!

But what about party snacks?!?  Well in my opinion the best party snack is M&M’s®.  Put out a bowl of those and you will have some happy party guests. You can check out my Captain America Rice Crispy Shields  for the perfect M&M® party snack.

I wanted to make another special party treat and made these delicious sweet and salty Captain America Popcorn.  Salty, butter popcorn mixed with red and blue M&M’s® and a drizzle of red, white and blue chocolate and dash of sprinkles makes the perfect snack!

If your superheroes are looking for something a little more savory you can pick up a pizza from Walmart and look who is on the box!!

While at Walmart don’t forget to grab lot’s of M&M’s® for your party, there are so many varieties it is hard to choose!

I rounded out my party with a few blue and white cookies and a few bowls of M&M’s®.  Everything I got for this party from the decorations to the food can be bought at Walmart which makes throwing this little party a snap!!

We loved decorating with all the Captain America toys and it really made the party table awesome.

These super hero masks were a huge hit and everyone loved them and getting to choose their favorite hero to be.

After everyone had enough to snack on we settled in to finally watch Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier and everyone had a great time.

I really enjoy throwing these little impromptu movie themed parties for DVD releases.  As you can see with just a few supplies and a quick trip to the store you can have an awesome movie party in no time without all the fuss and planning and it really makes movie night more special.
