Hey guys!! Back to school time is here! Now we are all stocked up on pencils and backpacks, paper and glue and we are ready to start this school year!  As much as I love back to school time, I am not looking forward to 4th grade homework, the math kills me lol. 

It can also be a struggle to get your kids to settle down and do their homework after a long day at school.

I have found the easiest way to get homework done is to do it as soon as they come home, then it’s not hanging over them the whole evening (and it also doesn’t run into dinner or bath time).

We also have a snack right after school; combining homework with snack time makes everything go much smoother.

One of our favorite snacks are Welch’s^® Fruit ‘n Yogurt™ Snacks! The boys love the sweet, chewy, yogurt combo and I love that they are made with real fruit, surrounded by creamy yogurt.

They are perfect for packing their lunch as a sweet surprise that I can feel good about giving my boys. But it also makes a perfect after school snack and I always keep a few packs in my bag for any time the boys get a little hungry.

My boys love the Strawberry flavor, but I always make sure to stock up on Blueberry and Cherry as well, yum!

We already love Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks on their own for a quick homework snack but I love using it to make Homework Munch! This delicious mix of sweet, salty, crunchy and chewy is the perfect combination and it makes homework time so much more enjoyable.

I love this mix because you can use whatever ingredients you like! I try to make sure there is always something crunchy and something salty, I also like to add some chocolate chips or in this case butterscotch chips, yum! The Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks are so delicious in any mix you make because they bring the creamy, chewy texture!

You can mix yours up by adding your kid’s favorite snacks like popcorn, nuts, crackers, anything they like, but make sure you add plenty of Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks because they really make this snack mix and the kids will love them!

I store my Homework Munch in a large mason jar and it is always ready to go after school, or anytime you need a delicious snack mix. This is also great to package up and take on trips or keep in your bag (that after school pick up line can be long, and this mama can get a little hungry waiting lol).
