Today I am going to share with you an amazing recipe that everyone in your family will love!! Even the picky ones!!

My kids love cereal and would eat it morning, noon and night. My boys look forward to having a bowl in the morning, it really helps them wake up with a smile!

I got to thinking about how good a bowl of cereal is for dinner sometimes on those days I am too exhausted to cook, and then my mind wandered to other ways we could have cereal for dinner and that is how I came up with these Honey Chicken Strips.

They are so easy to make!! You just crush up those delicious Golden Honey O’s and roll your chicken in them and fry! I serve with honey mustard on the side and a simple salad and dinner is done!!

  • Honey mustard dressing- This helps flavor the chicken and helps the breading stick.
  • Egg- Helps everything bind together.
  • Malt-O-Meal Golden Honey O’s-  You can use any honey cereal you like.
  • Flour- for the coating.
  • Salt- For seasoning
  • Oil- for frying, I like to use peanut oil but use your preference.

You can!! Add a little hot sauce or spicy mustard to the egg mixture or a little garlic to the cereal mixture to change up the flavor!

  1. Just spotted this recipe and thought about making it ‘Gluten Free’. I’m a Coleliac ‘Nana’ – living in UK – and I’ve got a box of this cereal in my cupboard.

I’m certain that this will go down very well indeed next time I’ve got grandchildren staying over – though I may need to substitute a different ‘dipping sauce’ for the children’s tastes.5 stars
